Life-Controlling Issues

Whatever is holding you back, you don't have to face it alone.

Understanding the Struggle

What Are Life-Controlling Issues?

Simply put, a life-controlling issue is anything that controls your life. But when you look deeper, it's any struggle that begins to separate you from the people you love, the work you care about, and ultimately from God.

Here is something important to understand: everyone struggles with something. It may be as subtle as a pattern of dishonesty, or as consuming as addiction, mental health challenges, or intimacy disorders. The issues vary widely — but the pain they cause is something we all recognize.

That shared pain is where empathy is born. When we stop judging each other's struggles and start acknowledging the hurt behind them, real community becomes possible. Support groups walk alongside you through that pain so you can find the peace that only Christ provides.

"We all know what the pain of our struggle feels like."

That shared experience is where empathy begins — and where healing can take root.
